Southern Echo 20 September 1894 - JUVENILE ODDFELLOW'S FUNERAL - On Wednesday afternoon, the funeral of Charles Dashwood Mallard, who was cut off at the tender age of 12 years, took place at Carisbrooke Cemetery. Being a member of the Juvenile Lodge of Oddfellows, several of the young brethren followed the procession from the National Schools to the last resting-place of the young lad.
