Hampshire Independent - 21 July 1869 - NEWPORT - REPORTED DEATH FROM SUNSTROKE. - Isaac Hayles, a carter in the employ of Messrs. Roach, of West Mill, died yesterday (Tuesday) morning from the effects, it is stated, of sunstroke received on Saturday. Another report attributes his death to his having incautiously drank a quantity of cold water, when he was in a heated state.
