IWCP - 1 March 1941 - Newport - Death of Mr. George Woodford. - The death occurred on Thursday at 63 Horsebridge-hill, of Mr. George Woodford, aged 80, who for many years was employed in the agricultural implement department of Arthur Wood, Ltd., and was known and held in much respect by many farmers. He was a member of the Newport Court of Foresters, and in his younger days was an active member of the Newport Cricket Club. The funeral will be at Carisbrooke Cemetery on Tuesday.
