IWCP - 15 November 1947 - NEWPORT - Born and Died in Same Street. - Older residents will regret the death on Thursday week, at 18 Quay Street, of Miss Mary Sime, aged 89, younger daughter of the late Mr. W. Sime, who was born and died in houses on opposite sides of the same street, and who spent all her life in the town. With her late sister, she was for many years a skilful dressmaker with a large clientele, and was very well known and respected. The funeral was on Monday, the first part of the service being at Bethany Hall, and the interment at Newport Cemetery. Mr. H. E. Croucher officiated, and the mourners were Mrs. M. Morris and Mr. and Mrs. A. Brown.
