IWCP – 18 September 1971 – NEWPORT – Master Butcher’s Widow. – The funeral took place on Monday of Mrs. A. C. Early, aged 83, of 24 Alderbury Road, who died the previous Tuesday at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born in the town and was the widow of Mr. W. J. Early, who will be remembered as a former master butcher here. The Rev. F. G. Fuller officiated at the service at St. Thomas’s Church. The mourners were Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Early (son and daughter-in-law), Miss D. Early (grand-daughter), Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Early and Mr. and Mrs. B. Stears (brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law), and Mr. and Mrs. J. Cheverton (nephew and niece). Messrs. O. C. Hamilton and Son made the arrangements.
