IWCP - 15 December 1956 - NEWPORT - The Late Mrs. A. L. Cheverton. - The funeral took place on Thursday week at St. Thomas's Church of Mrs. Amy Louisa Cheverton, aged 77, of 47 Hunnyhill, whose death occurred suddenly the previous Sunday, at the Royal I.W. County Hospital. Mrs. Cheverton, who was born in the town, was the widow of Mr. Frank E. Cheverton, an engine driver who died in 1935. With her husband she played a prominent part in running whist drives in aid of the County Hospital and other charities.
