Isle of Wight County Press - 13 March 1976 - OFFICER DIES - A 46-year-old prison officer at Camp Hill Prison died after collapsing at home early on Monday. He was Leonard Edward Derek Crates, of Robin Hood Street, Newport. A post-mortem examination revealed that death was due to natural causes.
