IWCP – 4 May 1929 – NEWPORT – FATAL SEIZURE. – A sensation was caused in the lower High-street at 1.30 p.m. on Saturday by the collapse of Miss Elizabeth Chessell, aged 26, daughter of Mr. H. Chessell, of Hart’s Farm, Rookley. She was taken suddenly ill with hemorrhage while walking with her mother and sister, and was removed quickly as possible to the shop of Mr. Quantrill, where she expired almost immediately. The facts were reported to the Coroner, who decided that an inquest was unnecessary as the deceased had been in ill-health for some months.
