Sheffield Daily Telegraph - 28 April 1898 - FRAUDS ON THE MANCHESTEB CORPORATION - At Manchester yesterday, John Tetlow, managing director of a firm of contractors at Littleborough, and David Hallard. a clerk employed by the Manchester Corporation, were each sentenced to three years penal servitude, for extensive frauds upon the Corporation by collusion, whereby they obtained several thousands of pounds in excess of the amounts due from the Corporation.
