IWCP - 5 February 1916 - NEWPORT - DEATH OF MR. H. G. PEDDELL. - We regretfully record the death of Mr. H. G. Peddell, who was for many years a highly respected officer in the Parkhurst Prison service, and was warmly esteemed in private life by all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance. Following a long and painful illness, borne with the utmost fortitude and patience, the end came very peacefully at his residence, Fernlea, Medina-avenue, yesterday (Friday). He was in his 69th year. The deepest sympathy is felt with the widow and the other members of the bereaved family in their sorrow.
