Isle of Wight County Press - 15 March 1919 - NEWPORT - THE FUNERAL - took place at Carisbrooke Cemetery, following a service at St. Thomas's Church, the Rev. J. L. Spratt officiating, of Mrs. Hatcher, wife of Mr. C. Hatcher, of Clarence-road. Deceased had been in failing health practically since the loss of her son, Rifleman L. Hatcher, 1-8th Hants Regiment, an employee in the printing works of the County Press, who was killed at Suvla Bay in the first action fought by the I.W. Rifles on August 12th, 1915, and she died on Monday.
