Isle of Wight County Press - 27 September 1919 - NEWPORT - DEATH OF MR. A. G. TURRELL. - The death took place on Wednesday week at the Royal National Hospital, Ventnor, of Mr. Arthur George Turrell, who had for many years been associated with local sporting circles. The deceased, who was 53 years of age, was recently demobilised from the Sportsman's Battalion, in which he served during the war, and he had been in failing health since he left the army. He was a member of the Conservative Club. The funeral took place at Carisbrooke cemetery on Monday, the remains being accorded military honours.
