Hampshire Telegraph - 28 May 1859 - NEWPORT - A CORONER'S INQUEST was held at Carisbrooke on Monday evening, before F. Blake, Esq., on the body of Mary Racket, aged 70, formerly of New Village, who was found dead on the floor of her bedroom on Saturday evening by her son, after she had gone up stairs to put her grandchildren to bed. There was no doubt that the deceased had expired in a fit of apoplexy, and the jury returned a verdict of "Visitation of God."
