Isle of Wight County Press - 30 January 1937 - NEWPORT - DEATH OF MISS FLATMAN. - Miss M. A. Flatman, a valued worker of the Parish Church, died at her residence, 1 Priory-view, Gunville-road, on Sunday. She was 77 years of age. During her long connection with the Parish Church she had been a Sunday-school teacher and district visitor and had supported and assisted numerous other organisations. Her quiet and kindly nature won her many friends, and she will be greatly missed. The funeral was at the Parish Church on Wednesday, and the interment was at the Cemetery. The Vicar (the Rev. H. Ewbank) officiated.
