IWCP - 10 April 1937 - NEWPORT - SUDDEN DEATH OF MISS H. STARK. - The death occurred suddenly at 76 Carisbrooke-road on Saturday, of Miss Harriett Stark, aged 72. The deceased was taken ill on Saturday afternoon and a doctor was summoned, but she passed away shortly after his arrival. A post mortem examination made an inquest unnecessary. Miss Stark was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. Andrew Stark, of Watergate, and a sister of the late Mr. Ross Stark, of Watergate Farm, who died last December. The funeral was at Carisbrooke Cemetery on Wednesday, the Rev. W. H. Mackinnon (vicar of St. John's) officiating. The mourners were Mr. F. Stark (brother), Miss Stark, of Ryde (sister), Mr. and Mrs. Purdey (nephew and niece), Mrs. Musson (niece), and Mrs. Bartlett, of Bembridge.
