Isle of Wight County Press - 31 July 1948 - NEWPORT - A Former Well Known Dairyman. - The death occurred on Wednesday, at the age of 70, of Mr. Frederick Hunt, of Stile House Dairy. Before retiring two years ago Mr. Hunt had been a dairyman for 58 years, at first in the employ of the late Mr. William Dove and then as a milk retailer on his own account. He was a member of the Oddfellows and a highly respected man. He leaves a widow and a daughter. The funeral took place yesterday (Friday), the service at the Castlehold Church being conducted by the Rev. R. G. Thomas, of Sandown. The interment was at Carisbrooke. The arrangements were made by Messrs. H. and F. Damp.
