IWCP - 24 June 1950 - NEWPORT - The Late Mr. B. A. Jackman. - The funeral took place at Carisbrooke Cemetery last week of Mr. Benjamin Alfred Jackman, of The Cottage, Forest Side, formerly licensee of the Yarborough Arms, Whitwell. He had served in the Royal Navy and the Merchant Service. The mourners were Mrs. Jackman (widow), Messrs. W. A., R. E., and F. M. Jackman (sons), Mrs. W. A. Jackman (daughter-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. Sampson and Mr. and Mrs. Groves (brothers-in-law and sisters), Miss E. Groves (niece), and Messrs. R. W., J. T., and M. J. Comer. Messrs. O. C. Hamilton and Son made the arrangements.
