Isle of Wight County Press - 8 March 1952 - NEWPORT - The Late Mr. A. R. Connolly. - The death occurred on Wednesday at 7 Whitepit Lane, of Mr. Arthur Robert Connolly, aged 54. He was employed in the office of Messrs. Westmore, Ltd., for 31 years, and when the firm came under nationalised control, was transferred to the Quay Street office of British Road Services. He served in the Army in the 1914-18 war and was a member of the Conservative Club. The funeral service takes place on Monday at 2 o'clock at St. Thomas's R.C. Church.
