Isle of Wight County Press - 3 January 1953 - NEWPORT - The Late Mr. L. S. Pardey. - The death occurred on Wednesday of Mr. Lawrence Samuel Pardey, aged 69, of 78 Caesar's Road. Mr. Pardey retired last year from Messrs. Saunders-Roe, Ltd., where he was a painter. He was previously a stoker at the Newport Gasworks for 33 years. He is survived by his widow, six sons, and two daughters. The funeral takes place today at 1.30 p.m. at Carisbrooke Cemetery.
