Isle of Wight County Press - 15 August 1953 - NEWPORT - Funeral of Mrs. E. F. Lockhart. - The funeral took place at St. Mary's Church, Carisbrooke, on Monday of Mrs. Ellen Fanny Lockhart, who died suddenly on Friday week at Stella Maris, 209 Carisbrooke Road, after a long illness, aged 69. She was the widow of a well known local butcher, and formerly lived in Quay Street. The Vicar (the Rev. D. S. McKenzie) conducted the service which preceded interment at Carisbrooke Cemetery. The family mourners were Mr. A. W. Lockhart (son), Mr. and Mrs. A. Lockhart (son and daughter-in-law), Miss P. Lockhart (daughter), Major and Mrs. C. D. Blee, Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Buckett, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Turner (sons-in-law and daughters), Mr. A. G. McCoy (brother), Miss L. Cantelo and Mrs. H. Phillips (nieces), and Mrs. B. Taylor (cousin). Mr. R. J. Lockhart (son) was unable to attend. There were 22 floral tributes. Messrs. H. and F. Damp made the arrangements.
