IWCP - 6 February 1909 - NEWPORT - DEATH OF MRS. G. QUINTON. - The death occurred on Monday of Mrs. G. Quinton, of 95 High-street, at the age of 79 years. The deceased lady, who was the widow of the late Mr. George Quinton, had lived in Newport for nearly 60 years, and was held in the highest esteem. The funeral took place at Carisbrooke Cemetery on Friday, the members of the Brethren taking part in the burial service. The family mourners were Messrs. G. F. and F. Quinton (s9ns), Miss Quinton and Mrs. Barton (daughters), and Mr. John Fielder, Chichester (brother). The large number of beautiful floral tributes included one from the pupils of Castle Dene School, of which Miss Quinton is the principal.
