Isle of Wight County Press - 14 March 1914 - NEWPORT - YOUNG LEAGUER'S DEATH. - Much sympathy is felt for Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Knighton, of North Fairlee, who suffered a heavy bereavement on Sunday morning by the death, after an operation for appendicitis, of their second daughter, Edith Mary Lilian, aged 8. The deceased was a valued worker in connection with the Young Helpers League, and many of the members attended the funeral, which took place at Newport Cemetery on Thursday. There were many beautiful and touchingly inscribed floral tributes, including one from her friends and playmates at Bradley Lodge.
