IWCP – 16 November 1918 – Newport - THE DEATH – took place on the 11th November at 28 Woodacotte-terrace, the residence of his brother, of Mr. Frederick C. Gustar. The deceased, who succumbed to an attack of pneumonia, following influenza, was 40 years of age and unmarried. He had been in the employ of the Newport Gas company for upwards of 25 years. The funeral took place at Newport Cemetery on Thursday week. In addition to the family mourners, Mr. S.W. Ibbotson (manager of the Gas Company) and Messrs. S. Blow and W. Brittan (two of the employees) attended. Amongst the floral tokens was one inscribed “With deepest sympathy, from the staff and employees of the Newport Gas Company.”
