IWCP - 30 September 1893 - NEWPORT - THE FUNERAL - took place, at Newport Cemetery, yesterday (Friday), of Mrs. H. Cooke, many years the respected proprietress of the old Swan Hotel, in succession to her late husband. The Vicar of Newport conducted the burial service and among the mourners present were the two sons-in-law of the deceased lady (Messrs A. Morris and W. Cole), several grand-children, and other relatives and friends. There were a number of floral tributes of affection on the coffin.
