IWCP - 23 April 1955 - NEWPORT - The Late Mrs. A. M. M. Chiverton. - The death occurred at the age of 74, on Thursday, of Mrs. Alice Maud Mary Chiverton of 12 Whitepit Lane. Mrs. Chiverton was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. Tom Simmonds and actively assisted her father at his butcher's business in Pyle Street during the first world war. She leaves two sons and a daughter. Mrs. Chiverton was a vice-president of the St. Thomas's Bible Class, of which her eldest son (Mr. Frank Chiverton) is leader. The funeral service will take place at the Parish Church at 12 noon to-day.
