IWCP 29 July 1916 - FATE OF MISSING ISLAND RIFLES - Official notice of presumed 'killed in action' of those reported missing at Suvla Bay, Gallipoli 12 August 1915 ....Rifeman B. C. Hamilton, B. Co., Newport - Rfn. Bertram Charles Hamilton, B Co., aged 17, was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Hamilton, of 31 Chapel-street, Newport, who worked for his father before the war, and was a member of the St. Paul's (Barton) Brotherhood. His elder brother, Rfn. L. J. Hamilton went through the Gallipoli campaign and was invalided home through sickness. He has now recovered and is with his old regiment in the Island.
