Description: On the map called Bowcombe Cottage. L-shaped house. The south west wing is C18. Painted brick. The north east wing or main front of the house facing the garden is early C19 and is an interesting example of a Georgian house Gothicised in rustic style. 2 streys. 5 windows. Ashlar. Verandah on Ground floor with wooden columns and beneath it obtusely-pointed French windows with Gothic panes. On the 1st floor pointed sash windows, the outer ones in small gables, the 3 centre ones placed in an eyebrow. Glazing bars intact.
