Hampshire Advertiser - 16 June 1923 - SOUTHAMPTON DISTRICT - The remains of Mrs. J. Goater, who passed away at Bitterne Park, were laid to rest at Newport, Isle of Wight, where she was well known and respected. The grave was lined with evergreen. The first part of the service was held at the Parish Church, the mourners being Mr. Allan and Cecil Goater, Mrs. L. Goater, and Mr. and Mrs. G. Ridyard.
